Mission:Clean Stream/GM Earth Day-April 1 2017
Three Great Events. One Amazing Day
Mission: Clean Stream. You can have a direct impact on the quality of the rivers and streams in your neighborhood. Sign up and come out to pick up trash and recyclables. Dress for the weather. Wear sturdy shoes. Bring a water bottle. See how fast your trash bag fills up and see how much better things look because you came out.
GM Earth Day. Visit the festival at the heart of Mission Clean Stream to learn about the environment and green goods and services. Plenty of hands on activities for kids of all ages and music.
Run for the Rivers. Sign up at Big River Running for the 5K race or 1 mile fun run. Have a great time running through a beautiful setting and know that your pledge supports all of Greenway Network's clean water programming.
GM Earth Day: Come early to the festival at Rotary Park, 2577 West Meyer Road, Foristell, MO 63348, if you want to see the Mission:Clean Stream workers off. Explore work by local artisans. Learn how to get connected to, and preserve nature with activities like making upcycled crafts, exploring a model stream and seeing how pollution moves into our rivers and streams.
Also on hand will be vendors, and organizations that can help you or your family make a real difference in the world. There will be plenty of hands-on activities with a particular emphasis on keeping very young children occupied while their older siblings are out on the creek.
Green Heroes Program: Kids can earn a very special award by learning about the environment at the festival.
Spend your money at our unique group of vendors selling soy candles, natural teas, green cleaning products, jewelry, essential oils and more.
For vendor information contact email@example.com or fill out an application.
Mission: Clean Stream: Volunteers from St. Charles County and the communities of Cottleville, Dardenne Prairie, Lake St. Louis, O’Fallon, St. Charles and Wentzville join with Greenway Network to remove trash from local streams and lakes.
Mission: Clean Stream started as a joint effort to pick up litter from publicly accessible creek areas. Today, Mission: Clean Stream has evolved into a challenge, or charge, for thousands to do some serious damage to the amount of trash in water ways across the county in just two hours.
Families, organizations and individuals can participate by calling the nearest community to register or click on Register Here links below:
