Join the Greenway Network Conservation Team
Greenway Network with cooperation from Missouri State Parks, US Fish and Wildlife Service and the US Army Corps of Engineers and Missouri Stream Teams is looking for volunteers to help with service events on public lands in the St. Louis region.
Your time is needed to help plant trees and plants, build and maintain trails, remove invasive plants, help with river and trail trash pickup and assist at educational and recreational events.
Volunteers are needed to help at events such as Earth Day, National Public Lands Day, Mission:Clean Stream, Confluence Trash Bash and Race for the Rivers. Service days will be held at many sites, including Riverlands in West Alton, Riverwoods in Bridgeton and many local parks near you.
Team members are asked to pledge to support three service events this summer. Members will receive gloves, a water bottle , and a t-shirt at their first volunteer event.
Team leaders are needed to help coordinate service projects. Pledge to support five volunteer events and you are eligible to be a team leader and receive special recognition.
Single day volunteers are welcome too and make up the majority of our volunteers! The work is sometime rewarding and enjoyable and sometime wet and muddy, but always worthwhile. To register for the monthly trail maintenance/clean-up at Riverlands, click here.
But it is not all work, many of the events are fun with picnic lunches, hikes, bike rides, paddle trips, and there is a BBQ in the Fall for all team members. Come join us for a day out on your favorite river, park or trail. Listed are just some of the volunteer opportunities this Summer.
