Confluence Trash Bash - March 24 2018

8:00am-1pm

Confluence Trash Bash is the annual clean-up in North St Louis and North St Louis County.

All are welcome, no experience required! Individual volunteers, civic groups and youth organizations are encouraged to attend.

Please dress appropriately for working outside and current weather conditions. Be prepared to get wet and muddy.

Transportation is available for school and other groups by contacting Colleen Scott (Colleen.Scott@mdc.mo.gov) at Missouri Department of Conservation.

There will be a special Team Leader meeting. Date to be decided soon.  This will be a certification training.  this will be held at Columbia Bottoms CA before the actual CTB date.

Volunteers can choose from multiple locations as their starting site, after which they will be assigned to specific areas to clean. Check-in time is 8-8:45am.

  2. Missouri River Relief (10950 Riverview Drive, St. Louis, MO 63137 map) is organizing a site on the Mississippi River at Mosenthein Island (subject to change due to river conditions). There is limited space (40 people). For more information check their website.
  3. Big Muddy Adventures (10950 Riverview Drive, St. Louis, MO 63137 map) is organizing a site on the Mississippi River at Mosenthein Island (subject to change due to river conditions). This group will be paddling across the Mississippi River to Mosenthein Island. There is limited space (20 people).

Lunch will be provided at three sites which you choose on the registration form.

At noon, volunteers will return to their chosen location for an appreciation lunch and a chance to celebrate! Prizes will be given for the weirdest, biggest and most expensive trash finds. KSHE radio will be at the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge site to provide entertainment and report on all the unusual items found during the cleanup.
